The "Sandhasenwege" (sand hare paths) 1 and 2 are easy circular hiking trails in the north of the village through the vineyards, they can be combined well with each other. Sandhasenweg 3 in the south is a bit more challenging and also leads through vineyards and the Ludwigshain chestnut grove.
From Weisenheim am Sand you can also walk larger rounds. For example, we have prepared a circular route via Erpolzheim and Freinsheim and a somewhat longer hike to the north through Leiningerland along the Eckbach brook and back via Freinsheim.

Circular hike through the Freinsheim district to the Ludwigshain recreation area in Weisenheim am Sand and across orchards and asparagus fields towards Erpolzheim. Along the course of the Isenach brook and through the vineyards, the route then leads back to Freinsheim.

Beautiful wine hiking tour from Weisenheim am Sand through the vineyards to Grosskarlbach, along the Eckbach brook with various mills to Bissersheim and again through the vineyards to Freinsheim. You will walk through the historic old town of Freinsheim and along the Blütenweg (blossom path) past many horse paddocks to the Ludwigshain recreation area back to Weisenheim am Sand.
