From the north via A61 (from the Rhine-Ruhr region, Koblenz, Mainz):
- at the Frankenthal junction, take the A6 towards Saarbruecken.
- Exit at the Gruenstadt/Dt. Weinstraße junction and continue in the direction of Neustadt/Bad Duerkheim (you will then already be on the B271, the German Wine Route).
- Dackenheim, Freinsheim and Weisenheim am Berg are signposted from the B271
- for Bobenheim am Berg follow the signs to Weisenheim am Berg
- Herxheim am Berg and Kallstadt are directly on the German Wine Route
- Erpolzheim and Weisenheim am Sand are best reached via Freinsheim
from the north via A67 (from the Rhine/Main region and northern Germany)
- at Viernheimer Dreieck take the A6 towards Saarbruecken, then as above
from the south via A65 (from the Karlsruhe region):
- at the Deidesheim junction, take the B271 new (direction Bad Duerkheim)
- from Bad Duerkheim follow the signs to Gruenstadt
- in Ungstein at the roundabout Erpolzheim and Freinsheim are signposted
- you reach Weisenheim am Sand via Freinsheim
- for Kallstadt, Herxheim am Berg, Weisenheim am Berg and Dackenheim follow the signs to Gruenstadt and you will reach the B271 (German Wine Route)
- Herxheim am Berg and Kallstadt are located directly on the German Wine Route.
- Dackenheim and Weisenheim am Berg are signposted from the B271
- for Bobenheim am Berg follow the signs to Weisenheim am Berg
from the south via A5 (from the Munich, Stuttgart, Freiburg region):
- from A5 at junction Walldorf onto A6 (direction Saarbruecken) and then at junction Hockenheim onto A61 (direction Mainz/Koblenz)
- at the Ludwigshafen junction take the A650 (towards Bad Duerkheim)
- Weisenheim am Sand can be reached via the Maxdorf exit
- Erpolzheim is also directly signposted
- Freinsheim can be reached via Erpolzheim
- to get to Kallstadt, Herxheim, Bobenheim, Weisenheim am Berg and Dackenheim, continue in the direction of Bad Duerkheim/Kaiserslautern on the B37.
- then follow the signs for Gruenstadt and you will come to the B271 (German Wine Route)
- Herxheim am Berg and Kallstadt are located directly on the German Wine Route.
- Dackenheim and Weisenheim am Berg are signposted from the B271
- for Bobenheim am Berg follow the signs to Weisenheim am Berg
from the east via A6 (from the Heilbronn, Nuremberg region)
- at the Hockenheim junction take the A61 (towards Mainz/Koblenz), then as above
from the west via A6 (from the Kaiserslautern, Saarbruecken region):
- leave the A6 at the Gruenstadt/Dt. Weinstraße junction and keep going in the direction of Neustadt/Bad Duerkheim (you will then already be on the B271, the German Wine Route).
- Dackenheim, Freinsheim and Weisenheim am Berg are signposted from the B271
- for Bobenheim am Berg follow the signs to Weisenheim am Berg
- Herxheim am Berg and Kallstadt are directly on the German Wine Route
- Erpolzheim and Weisenheim am Sand are best reached via Freinsheim.
