Vines or woods?

You like to be on foot?

Then it's a good thing that the German Wine Route is right on the edge of the forest. So you can reach 10,000 km of signposted hiking trails in the Palatinate Forest without much trouble. And it's also a good thing that there is enough space between the vineyards to walk along the vines and watch the grapes grow.

Whether you are an active hiker or a pleasure hiker - that is, a walker - we have a suitable path for you. In spring and autumn perhaps rather in the sun through the vines and in summer in the cooler forest? No problem!
Have you ever thought about becoming a pilgrim but Santiago de Compostela is just too far away? Then try our wine pilgrim´s hike for a start!

If you don't want to go alone, we can provide you with an experienced hiking guide. Just contact the Tourist Information offices. Of course you´re welcome to join the guided tours offered on a more or less regular basis. But please note, that the information given during the tours is German language only.
